August Bank Holiday Weekend | The High Farm

Saddle Up for a Wild West Saturday at The High Farm

Saturday 29 August — live music, American BBQ, line dancing

Pull on your cowboy boots, dust off your hat and get ready for a Bank Holiday Saturday with a Wild West twist at The High Farm.

Our Wild West Family Fun Day brings together live music, delicious American-style barbecue food and plenty of entertainment for adults and children. Whether you arrive dressed as a cowboy, cowgirl or sheriff—or simply come along to enjoy the atmosphere—you can expect a Saturday filled with music, laughter and family fun.

Live music from Sienna Craven

Providing the soundtrack to our Wild West celebration will be Yorkshire-based singer-songwriter Sienna Craven.

Sienna is a versatile live performer whose music covers everything from heartfelt ballads and country-pop to rock and modern pop. She has been writing and releasing original music since her teens, has appeared on radio and has had her music played by BBC Introducing.

Her country influences make her the perfect choice for our Wild West Saturday. Expect a warm, engaging live performance that will help bring the whole event to life.

You can discover more of Sienna’s music and follow her latest performances on social media at @siennacravenmusic.

Enjoy an American BBQ

No Wild West celebration would be complete without the smoky flavours of an American BBQ.

Take a break from the entertainment, grab something tasty from the grill and enjoy the relaxed Bank Holiday atmosphere. It is the perfect food to accompany an afternoon of live music, dancing and outdoor family fun.

Join the line dancing lessons

Once the music starts, it will be time to get those cowboy boots moving.

Our line dancing lessons are a chance for everyone to join in, learn the steps and have a laugh. You do not need any previous dancing experience—simply follow along, enjoy the music and see if you can keep in time with the rest of the line.

Come with friends, bring the family or join in by yourself. The most important thing is to have fun.

Can you conquer the inflatable rodeo bull?

If you are looking for a challenge, step into the inflatable arena and test your balance on our rodeo bull.

See how long you can stay in the saddle as the bull twists and turns beneath you. Challenge your family and friends, cheer each other on and find out who deserves to be crowned The High Farm’s rodeo champion.

Face painting and children’s games

There will also be face painting and games for younger visitors, giving children plenty of ways to get involved in the Wild West adventure.

They can complete their cowboy or cowgirl outfit with a colourful painted face before joining the games and enjoying the rest of the entertainment.

Dress up and join the fun

We would love visitors of every age to embrace the theme and come dressed for the occasion.

Cowboys, cowgirls, sheriffs and outlaws are all welcome. Add a hat, checked shirt, boots or bandana—or go all out with a complete Wild West outfit.

With live music from Sienna, an American BBQ, line dancing lessons, an inflatable rodeo bull, face painting and children’s games, Saturday 29 August promises to be a memorable Bank Holiday day at The High Farm.

Gather your family and friends, get dressed up and come have some Wild West fun!
